Sometimes, when you struggle to obtain something that other people get easily, it can be easy to feel cheated.
Why do they enjoy love, wealth, freedom or health, while you have to work for it?
This can be especially frustrating when you’re a Life Coach; you know the principles of success and you’re applying them diligently, so why aren’t things working out the way you’d hoped?
Sometimes, it’s because the Universe is giving you a gift that the people who get things easily aren’t receiving in that area: the gift of the power of creation.
What do I mean, and why is this important?
Think of it this way. If you receive all your furniture fully assembled, do you ever learn how to assemble it yourself?
If a person inherits a business, do they learn how to build one from scratch?
When you get something handed to you, do you have the power to create it in your life at will, or to help others to create it in theirs?
It’s been said that a smooth sea never produced a skilled sailor.
And we all have our own seas to traverse.
When you see a person who seems to have it easy in the area in which you’re struggling, I can guarantee that they, too, are encountering a learning curve in some part of their lives.
Even though we have the power to attract and create what we want in our life, sometimes, there are things we need to learn during the process. There are areas where growth, healing, old habits or mindsets must be shed before we can move forward.
And life is a dedicated teacher. It will not allow us to leave the classroom until we’ve learned what we need to, no matter how much we resist it or complain. This is especially true for Life Coaches like us, who have devoted our lives to teaching others. The same number of people we’re capable of helping is the same number we can harm, and just as a teacher must be better trained than their students, we too cannot be allowed to teach until we’re equipped to do so.
So take heart. You aren’t a failure, and life isn’t picking on you. You’ve simply been given a tougher curriculum to prepare you for greater things.
What are you learning in your life right now?
Whatever you’re working to obtain, you are acquiring the skills to create it at will whenever you need it in the future. Just as a skilled martial artist doesn’t need to fear being helpless in a fight, if you’re ever in this situation again you’ll be able to approach it with new confidence, knowing that you’ve developed the knowledge to handle it.
And, what’s more, you’ll be able to teach it to other people who also want to learn. If this had happened easily for you, you wouldn’t have gotten so intimately acquainted with the details of how to make it work, and you wouldn’t be familiar with the stumbling blocks that your clients may be tripping over.
