I’m sure you’re familiar with the concept of content marketing, or educational marketing. In case you aren’t, this is the method by which you entice prospects by giving them free samples of your wisdom, with a call to action at the end that encourages them to get more of that wisdom by working with you.

You may already be using it to promote your Life Coaching business online, in the form of articles, videos, or blog posts. But while these methods are great for catching peoples’ attention, they aren’t very likely to lead directly to large sales.

In order to get people who just found out about you to spend several hundred dollars, or more on your coaching, you need to give them a larger sample of your expertise. You need to really impress them, in a way that you don’t have the time or room to do in something as short as a blog post.

How do you do that?

By hosting a webinar or teleseminar.

Do you know how to put a webinar or teleseminar together?

Webinar:Educational MarketingBy now, I’m sure you’ve gotten many invitations to various online events, and probably attended some. But in order to create one yourself, and make it catch peoples’ attention and hold it all the way through to the offer, you need to know how to structure it.

Here’s how to arrange your webinar or teleseminar so that it brings you clients:

1. Start with a topic that people are really interested in.

What kind of problems keep your clients awake at night? What kind of benefits do they long to experience? Pick something that your ideal client is very aware of, and feels strongly about.

2. Catch their attention with a strong introduction

In the webinar itself, the first thing you should do is welcome your audience, and reaffirm the choice they’ve made and what they’re about to learn. For example, you could say,

“Welcome to ‘What Really Creates Success or Failure.’ If you’ve been struggling to achieve a goal in your life, but you’ve been making slow progress or no progress and you want to know why, you’re in the right place. You’re about to discover the difference between the people who succeed almost effortlessly, and those who spend their whole lives struggling without getting results. You’ll also learn how to use these principles, so you can achieve ANY goal you set your mind to.”

3. Show your credibility.

This is where you give them a brief version of your story. Explain why you’re passionate about helping people in your area of expertise, and what makes you good at it.

4. Give them high-quality content.

This isn’t the time for weak, beginner-level tips. Impress your audience, and make them think, “Wow, if they’re giving this stuff away for free, the paid program must be incredible!”

5. Tell them what they’re still missing.

This is important. If you simply say “I gave you great value in this webinar, but there’s more you need to know, so buy my course,” your audience won’t realize what they’re missing by not signing up. Think of it this way: a grocer would never try to sell you food by saying “that carrot you just bought doesn’t make a full meal. You need to buy this mystery box.”

So at the end of the webinar, briefly tell your clients what you’ll be teaching them in your paid course or coaching package. Explain what areas of knowledge they’re missing, tell them how your paid material fills those gaps, and tell them how to sign up.

Now you know how to structure your webinars and teleseminars.
Do you know how to get people watching them?

You’re probably smiling to yourself right now – “There, she just demonstrated the call to action at the end, and now she’s making one herself.”

Of course. I don’t want you to go to all the trouble of creating a webinar, only to have nobody attend.

I’ve created multiple 7-figure businesses, and webinars have been a huge part of making that happen. I know how to fill them with thousands of people, and I want to teach you how to do the same.
